1) Describe with as much detail as possible, what the detention centers are like (i.e., the bathrooms, medical facilities, cells, solitary confinement, etc.)

The bathrooms have no stalls. so ANYONE can see you use the bathroom and the food is disgusting; they don't give no good food, and when they get sick they have to wait on line for hours and sometimes after they wait for hours the nurses or doctors give them the wrong medicine and not the right amount so they sometimes die. They get whipped just for being gay or bisexual or even a transgender .

2) How did playing this game make you feel?

it made me feel bad because i didnt know that detention centers treat you so horrible

3) What do you think the Unites States should do differently with their immigrants?

they shouldnt treat them like that because they were trying to live a god life . they shouldnt be treated like that

4) If you finished the game, what did you find out about Boubacar’s death?

What killed Boubacar Bah was not about the fracture to his skull. It was because of neglect and a broken system that treats immigrants as if they were prisoners at Guantanamo Bay. Rather than get him to a hospital when he became incoherent, agitated, and vomited on the floor, the medical staff in the detention center determined it was a behavioral problem and wrote him up for disobeying orders. They then placed him in solitary confinement where he lay unconscious for more than 12 hours, because the nurse refused to check on him, triggering his coma, and eventual death.

5) Now that you’re officially a game designer, how would you improve this game.

i wouldnt change the game because people should know about whats happening to innocent people.

  1. Overall, this was a strong post. You gave good details as to what it was like inside the detention center and it seems like the game really stirred up some strong feeling in you. A couple of things to work on:

    1) Try to be more specific about why the game made you feel bad. Did any of the people interviewed touch your heart? If so, what was it that they said?

    2) It would be great if you gave more details about what you think should happen to illegal immigrants. Should they be allowed to work at any job? Have health care? Go to college?

    3) Your answer to #4 uses lines directly from the game. Please put your answer in your own words.
